The Gym Trainer

He flexed his muscle. I nodded. “I perform push-ups totaling 100+, but that does not show on my muscle formations!” said I with a curious face. “100+ push-ups?” asked Deepak. I responded in agreement. “No-no!! You are doing it incorrectly. Increasing the frequency will not help increase your muscle density or size. What needs to be done, is to perform only 6-8 repetitions (reps) of push-ups in one go. Reps should be of such strenuous bearing that they would completely tire out your arms and chest by the last rep in every set.”

He further explained, “That way, it breaks your muscles. Then you should relax your muscles for a day to give them enough time. Then, the muscles come together to form a stronger combination. After that, you again should bear an even more strenuous weight on your arms so that by the 8th rep, your muscles break down with fatigue again. Give them relaxation time yet again, so that they can cool off. They, shall again come together and form an even stronger combination and it goes on like that. Only that way will your muscles improve in size and strength.” He ended with a knowledgeable smile about the workings of the Human body.

So did I.

When your heart breaks, it is not the end of it. Because, your heart will come together to recombine to be even stronger than before. If it breaks again, then it will come together once more and combine to coagulate into an even more stronger heart than before. You may never realize it immediately then, so you have to give yourself enough time and relaxation for your heart to cool off and become stronger. When a muscle breaks, it is not destroyed, it becomes stronger. When a heart breaks, it does not wither away, it becomes divine, because then the Heart will have learnt to accept and bear the strain, which had managed to break it earlier. Heart is also a muscle after-all. :)
